Description
Cressi Quantum Mask
The quantum mask is a revolutionary design in the world of diving masks. It offers excellent downward vision and prevents fogging without compromising comfort. This is achieved through its sophisticated internal thermoregulation system, which diverts warm, damp air from the nose away from the lenses and towards the rubber skirt surrounding them. The external part of this skirt contains two small heat exchangers that act as radiators, allowing the mask to remain cool and clear despite varying temperatures underwater.
The Quantum Mask not only ensures that the temperature of the air inside is close to the external temperature but also traps any droplets of humidity in its internal membranes. This prevents the lenses from fogging up, even when used for long periods underwater. Additionally, despite its advanced features and components, the body of the mask remains small and compact.
Remember that when using a new mask, the lenses may be covered in dust or other residues from manufacturing, so always take the time to thoroughly clean them before each dive. Make sure not to rub too hard or use abrasive materials as this can damage the glasses or cause scratches on the lenses. You should ensure to be gentle when cleaning the lenses, using a soft cloth and either toothpaste or dishwashing detergent.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
• Inner membranes
A patented membrane surrounds the inner nose pocket and both the inner eyes pockets which act as a barrier and traps any moisture escaping from the diver’s nose involuntarily when breathing through the mouth. The result is that not only is the moisture channeled away from the lenses, thus avoiding the fogging up of them, but it also reduces the need to compensate for pressure.
• Heat exchanger
The external part of the skirt features a cooling system composed of two small heat exchangers that act as radiators. Thanks to this system, the temperature inside the mask drops, coming closer to the external temperature, and the droplets of humidity are trapped before the air reaches the lenses, preventing them from fogging up.
