Fourth Element Hydra Womens Drysuit
Designed to be warm and to fit well at a great price, the Hydra ladies drysuit is perfect for new divers or anyone wanting to get into some colder water diving adventures.
The Hydra has been specifically designed to be close fitting, this makes the suit more flexible and streamlined and also minimised air movement which is a great, particularly for newer drysuit users. Also by having 3 different boot sizes available on each main suit size you can get an excellent off the peg fit without having to mess around with adjustments.
The suit is made of 7mm thick High Density Neoprene (HDN) which has been compressed to 4mm this keeps the suit nice and warm and also minimises buoyancy issues that can occur in some thick neoprene drysuits.
The Hydra is fitted with high-end Apollo Bio-Dry Valves, the same YKK AQUASEAL® dry plastic zipper that is found on the Argonaut drysuits and includes a Hydpro Smooth Pro low-pressure hose. The composite YKK zip offers a massive flexibility improvement over the traditional brass zip which is prone to damage and snapping if mishandled. The Hydpro hose is a braided hose similar to the Miflex hoses but is encased in a polyurethane coating which ensures low friction, flexibility and excellent durability even in cold temperatures.
The neoprene is laminated with hardwearing fabric on the outside for excellent abrasion resistance, and smoother linings on the inside to increase comfort and aid donning. The seams are fused and blindstitched before being taped on the inside and external plasma seams prevent abrasion from your equipment or environment. Supratex linings protect critical wear areas in the crotch and underarms without limiting freedom of movement. Parts of the suit normally exposed to additional abrasion such as shoulders, waist and knees have a tough Durawear print.
The Hydra is fitted with 4mm compressed neoprene dryboots as standard and feature a double layer of reinforcement, good grip and an ergonomic footbed to ensure they are comfortable and reliable.
Included with every Hydra is a 5mm Neoprene hood and a Hydra Changing Bag.
