The new Mercury GSM Underwater Communication system inherited the excellent range, volume control and stereo from G-Power models. It has a fantastic range of 250 meters/800ft, covering a broad spectrum of applications – from underwater works and archaeological excavation sites to environmental projects. The systems’ range, combined with its three levels of adjustable volume and stereo-like sound, keeps you confident that you will stay in-range “loud and clear”, even in more challenging environments. The system works on two channels, and together with two speakers, it guarantees organised communication between teams and the team.
This new communication system from Ocean Reef is designed by divers for divers and relies on simplicity. You do not have to detach your communication unit like with some other manufacturers. The new Ocean Reef Underwater Communication System is foldable so that you can tuck it inside your full face mask after your days’ scuba diving. Installing a microphone could not have been made any more comfortable – it simply screws into the mask.
Reliability is crucial, and therefore Ocean Reef transferred what was best in its GSM G Divers product and made it even better. The new Mercury GSM System is digital and has a massive 30 hours of battery life so that you can dive all week on one charge. In the unlikely event, you run out of juice, you can quickly recharge your battery with its rechargeable micro USB connector or change the battery – take the flat one out and put the fresh one in – super quick and straightforward.
The Ocean Reef Mercury GSM Underwater Communication System integrates with Extender frames. Its DAT (Digital Activation Transmission) system allows for hands-free communication – a handy feature when your task loading is high. Even when you are not operating in hands-free mode, the system allows for easy volume control and a two-button system to navigate the voice menu and operate the unit.
This system works with older Ocean Reef communication models and can operate on most competitors’ frequencies.
